Recruit Refugees is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting refugees and immigrants in Norway. Our team is committed to guiding and assisting refugees as they seek employment, connecting them with potential employers, and providing a pathway for their integration into the Norwegian society.

Recruit Refugees is dedicated to empowering refugees through meaningful employment and successful integration into their new communities. Our services include personalized counseling, job coaching, and access to a supportive, diverse community that fosters both personal and professional growth.
Through our job portal, we simplify the job search process by directly connecting refugees with potential employers. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
In addition, we provide free resources, events, and workshops designed specifically to meet the unique needs of refugees. Our offerings extend to business and startup support, as well as engaging opportunities to practice Norwegian, ensuring that refugees are equipped with the language skills and tools necessary for success.
When
Established in November 2022, Recruit Refugees gained its momentum in spring 2023 after securing our first funding, which allowed us to expand our services. Since then, we’ve launched key initiatives such as the Recruit Refugee Training Center and our job portal, both designed to enhance our impact on refugee integration.
Where
Operating primarily in Norway, Recruit Refugees collaborates with local businesses, government agencies, and other non-profits to build a supportive network for refugees. While our efforts are currently concentrated locally, we aspire to expand nationally and internationally. We are proud to pilot our project in Modum, using it as a testing ground for our strategies. Our goal is to make this program accessible to as many people as possible, ensuring that refugees everywhere have the support they need to integrate into the workforce successfully.
Why
Recruit Refugees was created to address the challenges refugees face in finding employment. By helping refugees find stable jobs, we promote their independence and integration into the Norwegian society, benefiting both the refugees and the community. The organization was inspired by the personal experiences of our founder, Genna Myhre, who, as an immigrant, faced challenges integrating in Norway. While attending Norwegian language classes at Voksenopplæring, she saw others struggling with similar issues. This experience highlighted the gap in support for refugees and immigrants, sparking the idea to create an organization dedicated to helping them successfully integrate into the workforce and their new communities.
